This is kind of an older song. It’s a lullaby for the modern person. It was generated by me overhearing someone making the statement, “I know where I want to be going, but my life seems to have a mind of its own”
When we’re young, we can’t wait to be a grownup. But it seems that as we get older, we mourn the loss of the carefree days of youth. In truth, it’s just like Lao Tzu said.: “Life is easy when you have no preferences. In the distinction between good and bad, heaven and hell are set infinitely apart.”
It’s a hard lesson to keep in mind; thus this song.

lyrics
Circles
(k dremel)
i. Time now for closing your eyes,
Leaving a world full of tears and surprise.
Letting it all drift away,
Dark at the end of the day.
ii. Think back to when as a child,
Living in worlds that were wondrous and wild.
Lost in a land of pretend,
Could it be that never ends?
Chs: Living in dreams,
Spinning in circles.
A life with a mind of its own.
Living in dreams,
Caught in the circles of life,
As we learn to let go.
iii. Now comes the passing of days.
Somehow it seems we are always amazed.
(That) Each time we take up a stand,
Nothing works out as we planned.
Chs: Living in dreams,
Spinning in circles.
A life with a mind of its own.
Living in dreams,
Caught in the circles of life,
As we learn to let go.
Bridge: Easy to set yourself free.
So easy to set yourselves free,
Knowing there’s nothing,
Knowing there’s nothing,
Knowing there’s nothing to be.
Chs: Living in dreams,
Spinning in circles.
A life with a mind of its own.
Living in dreams,
Caught in the circles of life,
As we learn to let go.
Chs: Living in dreams,
Spinning in circles.
A life with a mind of its own.
Living in dreams,
Caught in the circles of life,
As we learn to let go.
